REET Normalisation Formula
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan employs a normalization procedure to mitigate the variations that may arise in results due to the multiple-shift examination process. This normalization process simplifies the retrieval of results, providing a fair evaluation of the performance of candidates who appeared for the REET exam. Below is the normalization formula utilized for the REET exam:
Sij = µ + ((Xij – µi)/ σi) * σ
Where,
- Sij = Scaled Marks of jth candidate in ith shift
- µ = Mean of raw score of third shift
- Xij = Raw marks of jth candidate in ith shift
- µi = Mean of raw scores of ith shift
- σi = Standard Deviation of raw scores of ith shift
- σ = Standard deviation of raw scores of third shift
